  1. Hello , im 21 malaysia chinese , my gf 18 chinese china , if my gf parents both not free to witness is there any other way i can register with my gf ?

  2. Royz, she is underage, parents cannot witness, cannot get married as simple as that. There is no other way to do it. That is for Malaysia. If you are to get married in China then it might be different. That’s all I can answer, sorry, can’t help much.

  3. Okies, thanks so much ..

  4. U’re welcome. Hope you can find the answer you need. Best way is ask the related department.

  5. hey,
what are the rules like for foreigners?
what if we are both foreigners and my gf is non malaysian
are we allowed to get married without her parents consent if she is below the age of 21?

  6. Hi im Leila 25 years and Malay, Malysian. My boy friend is Omani and we are planning to get married on end of this year or early next year. He is 24 years old. I need to know all the step of Registration of Marriage in Malaysia and what certificates that he need to bring along for the registration to make everything is fine.

  7. Joe, I don’t think so, you are still bind to the rule of your country. You are only here to register your marriage and you are not citizen here. You still have to arrange from your country before come here to register here as you need all the documents needed from your country. So do ask the relevant department of your country about how to get married overseas.

Leila, sorry, can’t help since you’re a Muslim. I’m have totally no idea of what the Syariah law or court need. Iy is best for you to consult JAIS or your local mosque as the procedure and documents needed are different from non-Muslim.

  8. i am a pakistani 23 yrs my frind from malaysia is 24 yrs we want to marry.whats the procedure and after that would i be able to get citizenship of malaysia?

  9. Umair, please ask your Malaysian friend to contact the marriage department for details. Lastly, sorry you are not entitle for citizenship of Malaysia or even the PR unless you are a professional the government are looking for. You will just be a foreigner and renew your visa when the time is up if you plan to stay in Malaysia after marriage.
