Mathu, just go to JPN and they have a list. Besides, form submission and all the other thing need to get from JPN, so during that time, ask them for it.

Jessica, sorry, no idea. Just go direct to the place you want to register your marriage and they will tell you everything since you will need to get all the forms and submit your forms and everything over there.

Emily_81, Thanks. Back to your questions, do it at the association or JPN is non-religious. You cannot do it in KL if both of you not from KL, you both must have the same area address in your IC. Do it in one week is not quite possible but it might be able to be done but it will depend whether the officer allow or not. You need to submit the application together and have to wait for 21 days for processing and approval.

reenugal, if not mistaken, he can’t get married within one year of divorced. As for the time and procedure, less than a month will be enough provided there is not hiccups in between.

Hi admin,

your website is very informative for couples to wed! I have a question regarding ROM.

I am a Christian (IC Melaka), my fiance is a Buddhist (IC Perak). I am working in Melaka, and he is studying overseas. We plan to have the ROM done in August (he will be home for one week only). Since we are both from different religion, we would like to have the ROM done in a non-religious way.

1. Having the ROM at an association – is it non-relgious?
2. Can we have th ROM done in a KL association – if neither of us are from KL?

Hi Ken, no idea… Sorry, you just have to ask your friends or the locals. I’m not from there. Basically those listed here is where you can go. Else you can always got to JPN and they have a complete list for you.

Fay, not in time. You cannot submit online too. They have to see you and ur partner in person and even approval of application will need to take 21 days, so it’s not possible.

My fiance and I are planning to get registered in July 2010. He’s currently studying in the UK and I’m working in China…Is it possible to do the registration when we are both in Malaysia the week of July 19-26? Also, is there a way to submit our forms online?
