Different Types of Veils - Blusher
Here’s a veil that is quite popular. It’s widely used for church wedding or a wedding that has some touches of traditions.
Blusher is a short veil worn over the bride’s face. Usually it falls just below the collarbone and above the bust. The blusher veil tends to measure between 24 to 26 inches from the top of the headpiece to the hem of the veil. You have to take note of your hairstyle when you are measuring for the veil.
The blusher veil symbolises a bride’s innocence and modesty. That’s why it’ s a popular choice for many first-time brides. However, many second and third-time brides also choose to wear a blusher veil. It’s up to what the bride likes. Since it hides the face, it adds to the drama of the ceremony.
Most of the time, the groom would lift the blusher veil to kiss the bride at the end of the ceremony but many fathers nowadays choose to lift the blusher veil to kiss their daughters prior to “giving them away” at the alter.
In a Chinese traditional wedding ceremony, the parents will be putting on the blusher veil while the groom will be the one lifts the veil and removes the veil to be “tossed away”.
