Wedding Invitations Etiquette
How can a wedding be complete without the wedding invitation card right?
There’s already post on wedding invitation guidelines that I had posted before, this post is to share with you about the etiquette of wedding invitation to ensure that you won’t offend some people and get the message tru’.
Before we go into further, here’s a gentle reminder for you, make sure you order enough invitation because having few cards short will be a very costly affair. Be sure to have at least 10 extra for some unforeseen circumstances.
Here’s one example that you can follow or as your guide.
Hosting Line: Identify the hosts(whoever is paying for the wedding)
Sample:
Mr. and Mrs. Abc Invitation Line:
Sample for church or place of worship ceremony:
request the honor of your presence at the marriaage of their daughter/son
Sample for non-religious ceremony:
request the pleasure of your company at the marriage of their daughter Bride & Groom Line:

Bride’s Name/Groom’s Name

Mr./Ms. Bride’s Name/Groom’s Name

Date & Time Line, Location, Address, Ceremony Details Line:: Spell out the week, date and month, also the time. Do have the full name of the venue, city and state where the ceremony will be held.

Time, Location, Address, Reception Details Line: If you only invite some people to your reception instead of everyone from the ceremony, it is best to have a separate card for both.

RSVP Line: Usually people just place the RSVP at the lower left hand corner if the guests are to reply on their own statinery or other method such as telephone.

Usually invitation in English is easier to write but Chinese invitation are more complicated as there are many complicated words and various etiquettes that you must know. However, usually your printer will know how to do them as long that you give them all the required information.
