The Breeze Model Search 2009, which is jointly organised by Limkokwing and Breeze Magazine and managed by Merkworld Sdn. Bhd., has entered its final stage with the unveiling of the 6 finalists after running for 4 months. From 300 participants, 48 have been selected for the competition and today, the final 6 are unveiled. The 6 finalists are Aprilia, Ben Sim, Effa, Firdaus, Richard and Sapphire.

Breeze Model Search, is a modelling competition organised to search for aspiring models from Kuching. The competition has received tremendous response from the public drawing long queues of interested participants as well as numerous fans online, interested to vote for their favourite contestant.

The final stage started last Saturday with an elaborate photo shoot at the studio of Alvin Leong and the old Cathay cinema in the city. “The models have shown vast improvements since the day they came for auditions at Limkokwing” observed Ron Lim from MerkWorld. “STAGE and mcphee hair studio did a great job with the models’ make-up and hair – showing the different side of us,” said one of the finalists.

Some of the models have already been engaged by MerkWorld’s clients for commercial shoots even before the final stage of the competition. “Many of the contestants including those who didn’t make it to the final stage have received calls for modelling and promotional jobs through MerkWorld. Several of the models have also been booked for upcoming fashion shows. We look forward to showcase more of our models to our clients and hopefully, they can join our top models in Kuala Lumpur. MerkWorld is proud to manage this competition for Breeze Magazine and Limkokwing. The competition has developed the talents of aspiring models, generated interest in modelling as well as created career opportunities for the models.” added Ron Lim from MerkWorld, who represents the models.
